Aluminium Tamping Beam with bolt on tubular handles
Our aluminium Tamping Beam with Upright Handles is designed for controlled manual levelling, tamping and striking off across concrete and screed.
The beam is fitted with a pair of bolt-on upright handles, providing a comfortable working position and allowing downward pressure to be applied while moving the beam across the surface. The removable handle system also makes the tool easier to transport and store than our previous welded-handle design.
Manufactured from a robust aluminium profile and available in lengths from 1.5m to 4.5m, it is suited to concrete contractors, groundworkers, landscapers and other trades working across larger areas.
Each aluminium section is manufactured to British tolerances and checked before dispatch.

We have been hit by courier increases constantly for the last 18 months and now we only have one carrier who will ship our straight edges over 3m.
We do not make a single penny on carriage, in fact a lot of the time we actually lose money.
We are constantly trying to get shipping rates down and we immediately reduce our charges online.

I needed a square, strong T bar for cutting boards. Reviewing the mainstream suppliers, there was loads of products that are 'not square', out by several mm over their length, or made of poorly constructed materials. The Toough Tools T square is about double the price but it is worth it. Delivered quickly and very well packaged, the square is definately square over its full-length. It's made of heavy duty aluminium with strong riverts, a helpful handle on the vertical to aid in positioning, and very clear units in metric and imperial. I'm really pleased with the product and service and am confident this will be a robust and accurate tool for years to come.

Purchased a Mixing Bucket 35 ltr HEAVY DUTY. This is a wide bucket (some may refer to it as a tub). Needed it to stay outside in all weathers collecting water from the roof of my greenhouse. It has proved to be very strong and easy to manage with two handles. This company gives "old fashioned" outstanding service as they contacted me fast to offer me an alternative when the bucked ordered was sold out.
